Pretty Painted Ornaments

Happy Monday everyone!

I was at the craft store a few weeks ago when some little glass ornaments started calling my name...kind of like when you go to the grocery store hungry and you want to come home with all the yummy treats...

So yeah, I guess you could say these glass ornaments are kind of like a bag of Doritos! Or brownies...or ice cream...

I was feeling in the mood for a quick crafting project, and I remembered seeing these beauties on Pinterest. I know they used temporary tatoos, but I wanted to give it a go with acrylic paints.
It was such a fun quick little project, and I loved the way that they turned out.  I'm not sure that I'll be able to fit a "ornament painting party" in this year, but I think it would be so fun to have a couple of friends over to make these!
Want to try to make some too?

It's easy!
Here's what you'll need:

  • plain glass ornaments
  • acrylic paints and paint brushes
  • A bowl to paint the ornaments in, so they don't turn around much while painting
  • a clear acyrlic sealer
There's not much more to it than to paint away!

Really, it's more like dabs...

If you are worried about the paint chipping off, you can spray the ornaments with a clear acrylic sealer made for glass.
So so fun!!  Happy Christmas crafting everyone!

XOXO,

Jill
