Today I'm over at Make It and Love it sharing our Halloween Costumes for this year. My kids decided that they wanted us all to dress up as characters from Alice in Wonderland and I'm really excited about how they turned out. I'm also kind of excited that we have a whole family's worth of costumes too.
My kids thought I was the perfect White Rabbit because the White Rabbit carries a clock around...and I'm usually the one telling them that they are going to be late!
I realized as I was putting together my Alice in Wonderland post that my kids have actually coordinated costumes for 4 of the last 5 years! That's pretty crazy, right?
Last year, they wanted me to make them fairy costumes. I love these pictures soo much! The girls tried to convince the husband and I to go as unicorns or elves, but we just really weren't feeling it...and I wasn't really that interested in making more costumes. I kind of LOVE that I have all of our Halloween costumes done for this year...and they are Halloween costumes for the whole family!
The previous year we dressed up as the characters from Frozen. I shared the Anna costume tutorial here on the blog! I really loved being Olaf!
Another year, Lu dressed up as veterinarian, and Ellie dressed up as puppy. Yep! You are looking at commercial costumes here! Oh, and can I say it makes me sad to look back at pictures from that Halloween....so dark and gloomy. I know I could have done so much better now!
On the other hand I can say that I am so glad that my photography skills are getting better over time!
And what about the year they didn't dress a like? We can blame that on a very opinionated 2 year old who was determined to be Minnie Mouse (and a very opinionated 4 year old that really didn't want to coordinate with a Disney character). It's ok though, because now I have this lovely picture from that Halloween!
Ah, so sweet those little babies were! They grow up so fast!
Happy Halloween costume making everyone!
