Polymer Clay Sewing Pins Tutorial

Our house is a busy place these days preparing for Lu's birthday.  Last week I showed you my citrus pincushions.

But did you notice those pins?  That's right!  We made those too!

My kids really enjoyed making these, and they made little fruits for their dollhouse too!  It was a lot fun.

Would you like  to dress up your pincushion with a few decorative pins?  I'll show you how to make your own.

Here's what you'll need:

Basically, they are simple to make.  Make your fruit, then dip the needle top into the liquid Sculpey.

Then just stick the needle top into the polymer clay fruit:

I used another needle to poke the strawberry holes:
Bake according to the package instructions.
Here they are all finished.  I made the one on the left, and Lu made the one on the right.

What do you think?  Kind of fun, right?  I think they'd make a cute gift for a sewing friend.

My posting schedule might be a bit light until I finish all of our party projects, but until then, you can follow the party prep on my instagram account?  So much excitement in our house!
