The "Other" Anna Jumper

A few of you might remember that last spring I made my girls jumpers, inspired by the outfits worn by the young Anna and Elsa in the movie Frozen.  I drafted a free pattern, and shared it in my Craftsy store.  You can find the whole tutorial here.

Today though I'm going to show you how with a few modifications you can use that same pattern to make a simple version of the adult Anna dress. Just in time for Halloween, right!

Ready to get started?  This is really simple!
All that you need to do is change the front of the bodice.  You can see on the top how I've switched the pattern just a tad bit, such that the centers come to a point (compare to the back, which remains unchanged).

I just used puffy fabric paint and felt to mimic the "embroidery." I found some gold trim in the clearance section of Joann's...so exciting!  I made the whole dress for under $10.

A close up of the felt and puffy paint.  I added all of these details before I sewed the dress together.   Otherwise all of the other aspects of the tutorial are totally the same!

Here it is all finished!

And if you're wondering why my 5 year old is modeling a 3T/4T version of the jumper in the first picture, it's because this is what my almost 3 year old thinks of getting her picture taken these days.  Just keepin' it real!

Alright, it's back to my sewing machine--which is getting quite a work out these days!  I can't wait to share the rest of the projects that I am working on!
