I've gushed before about how much I love the fact that you can print on fabric (here, and here, and here), but it's only because I am just blown away by the possibilities.
A year or so ago my mom and I were going through some old frames and we found this painting done by my great grandmother. The painting was small and in poor shape, but we felt bad throwing it away. I kept it, hoping that I'd figure out something to do with it.
Once I discovered how easy it was to print on fabric I remembered this old painting and decided to make it into a pillow for my mom's birthday. I scanned in the old painting and printed it out on fabric. Then I made it into a pillow. I think I liked the fabric version of the painting even better than the paper version.
I love fabric printing. LOVE it! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! And for those of you that are afraid of printing on fabric because it seems hard, or maybe it will screw up your printer, all I say is TRY IT. It's so, so easy. And the best thing is that you can create gift which are truly personalized, like this one.
